Draw Polygon

To draw a polygon, follow the steps given below:

  1. Open the Spectrum Spatial Analyst application.
  2. Click or Touch the right side menu to open the Legend panel.
  3. Click or Touch the Create icon to open the menu options.
  4. Under the Create Annotation list, select Polygon Now, you are in the drawing mode.
  5. Click or Tap on the map once to start the first point.
  6. Click or Tap at another point on the map to draw the polygon.
  7. Repeat the above step for as many points that you wish to add.
  8. Click or Tap twice to add the last point.
    The polygon annotation is drawn on the map and is also listed in the Map Legend under the Annotations heading.
    Note: If you click or tap the map and drag the finger whilst drawing you can pan the map. This is useful if you want to carry on drawing past the edge of the current map view. A polygon must have at least 3 points to be added to the map.
  9. Click or Tap on Done button to come out of drawing mode.
  10. Click or Touch the Overflow icon next to the annotation to view editing options. For more information, refer to Editing Annotation.
  11. In the Map Legend, click or touch the Polygon annotation to open Properties and Style annotation tabs. You may click or touch the annotation again to close the properties and style dialog box.
