How Winshuttle Connect stores and displays data based on privacy mode

Winshuttle Connect stores reports and data based upon the Privacy Mode of the account. The following table summarizes the Privacy modes and what information is stored based upon each mode.

* The Winshuttle Connect Administrator site can be accessed by Winshuttle only; it is not accessible to Connect customers.

** Feature usage logs are stored only in the Winshuttle Connect database. They cannot be accessed through the Winshuttle Connect user interface.

Winshuttle Connect Privacy Modes

Winshuttle Connect privacy modes govern what information is captured and with whom the information is shared, i.e. your company site and users, and/or Winshuttle Connect Administrators.

Secure mode

  • All report types are captured, i.e. Usage Reports, Audit Logs, and Feature Usage logs.
  • The Home Page dashboard reports are visible on your company Connect site.
  • The Reports tab is visible on your Connect site, and can be used by your Connect users to access Usage and Dashboard reports.
  • Usage reports are also shared with the Winshuttle Connect Administrator site, and viewable by Winshuttle Connect Administrators.

Secure Private mode

  • Only Audit Logs are captured. Usage Reports and Feature Usage logs are not captured.
  • The Reports tab is not visible on your site. Connect users cannot see usage or dashboard reports.
  • The Home dashboard reports panel is not displayed your company's Connect site home page.
  • The Usage Logcannot be viewed by Winshuttle Connect Administrators.
  • The contact link to enable reporting is displayed, i.e. "Your Reporting is OFF | Learn how reporting can improve your ROI."

Secure Anonymous mode

  • Only Audit and Feature usage logs are captured.
  • The Reports tab is not visible on the customer site. Users cannot view usage or dashboard reports on the site.
  • The Home dashboard reports panel does not display your site Home page.
  • The Usage Log can be viewed by Winshuttle Connect Administrators, but is displayed on the Admin site as Private Customers with limited information (see example at right).
  • The contact link to enable reporting is displayed, i.e. "Your Reporting is OFF | Learn how reporting can improve your ROI."
