Prerequisites

Connecting to SAP

Connecting to SAP is easier if you have saplogon.ini installed on your local computer. To point SAP to the .ini file, on the Tools tab, click Options, and then click SAP Defaults. Click the folder icon that is next to the SAPLogon Ini Folder box. Browse for the folder on your computer, and then click OK.

Important: If you are using SAP GUI 740, browse to the folder in File Explorer, click the file type box in the lower right corner, and then click Sap LandScape File.

If you log on without the .ini installed, click the Server tab on the SAP Logon dialog box and type in your credentials to log on.
