Cleanup

“Orphans” is the term used to describe:

• Image files that do not have a record in DamMaster.
• Records in DamMaster that do not have a link to an image.

The Cleanup function removes orphans from DAM.

To remove orphan images:

1. Open DamMaster in a Repository View, (see Open DamMaster in a Repository View).

2. Open the More dropdown menu and select Cleanup.

3. A confirmation window will appear and ask if you wish to continue.

   Confirm that You wish to Cleanup Orphan Image Files

4. Click Yes to remove orphan files or click No to exit without removing orphan files.
5. A Cleanup job will run in the background, removing orphans. To check the status of the Cleanup job, open Job Monitor, (see Job Monitor).

6. Select the Cleanup job then click the Job History button on the Job Monitor’s Activity Bar. A Job History window will open and display the completion status of the job, (see Job History).

7. Clear the data cache, (see Clear Data Cache).
