Virtual Machine Instances
Managed services, including AWS, Azure, GCP or similar, offer products and services that manage data implementations and are well placed to offer disaster recovery procedures.
Amazon AWS EC2
AWS EC2 virtual machines (VMs) offer the immediate snapshot of any EC2 instance, which can capture the machine’s current state. In normal circumstances, each VM operates within its own environment and is not dependent on the other VMs.
Backing up Amazon’s Elastic Block (EBS) snapshots across different geographic regions removes a single point of failure to achieve full redundancy. Backup management is performed by the Enterprise and can therefore adhere to corporate policies and strategies.
One of the disaster recovery services offered by AWS to promote business continuity is CloudEndure Disaster Recovery. It works in the background, in memory, and supports multiple source infrastructures.
