EnterWorks 10.2.1 Release Notes

Release: October, 2020

The EnterWorks 10.2.1 release contains one enhancement and has resolved 62 known issues. Numbers in parentheses indicate Jira and Mantis tracking tickets associated with the resolved issues.

Enhancements

  • The custom widget UI for Match and Merge has been improved and has been updated to leverage the core security capabilities. (EW-342)

Resolved Issues

  • In both the EnterWorks Classic and 2020 UIs, if a user who has read only access for one or more attributes creates a new record, if those attributes have default values, the default values are displayed but when the user saves the record, the default values are not saved. (EW-1021)

  • If a non-admin user runs a Validate All job on repository that has a security filter set to hide some records from that user, those records will still appear in the job log file. (EW-1037)

  • In EnterWorks Classic, in a repository view, the filter function does not work correctly. (EW-1039)

  • In Match/Merge, the Stewardship UI is not appearing in either Infolink or the widget. (EW-1050)

  • The Infolink API needs to filter certain results based on user/group security. (EW-113)

  • The EnterWorks 2020 UI does not have the ability to import a preference. (EW-132, Mantis #4781)

  • The EnterWorks API does not retain the session and connection in the thread for the duration of the call. (EW-330)

  • Only administrators or the owner of a Saved Set should be allowed to delete it. (EW-389, Mantis #6490)

  • The Custom Widget reinitializes after switching views. (EW-454, Mantis #3440)

  • The EnterWorks 2020 header needs to display the name of the environment. (EW-467, Mantis #4154)

  • Promotions of large repositories are failing due to the Snapshot population process failing. (EW-550, Mantis #6511)

  • When an administrator attempts to delete a template, an error message is returned. (EW-555)

  • Trigger and EpimCustomHelper classes don't support updating multi-language attribute values. (EW-570)

  • When the user hovers over a widget, the Activity tool bar is not being displayed. (EW-588)

  • Promotion jobs are being serialized in one worker queue and blocking other jobs. (EW-596, EW-665, EW-873)

  • In the EnterWorks 2020 UI, if a filter and a basic search are applied to a repository, the filter count is not reduced according to the basic search criteria. (EW-602, EW-989)

  • In the EnterWorks Classic UI, if security is configured for SSL/SSO, opening the Security dialog for a repository produces a 404 Page Not Found error. (EW-621)

  • Certification issues between Evolve and EnterWorks result in the inability to update attribute values. (EW-631)

  • On the EnterWorks 2020 login screen, the language drop-down is initially displayed as blank. After the browser is refreshed, the available languages are displayed. (EW-650)

  • The EnterWorks API call for logging in exposes the user's ID and password. (EW-655, EW-891, Mantis #7235)

  • Users should only be able to validate the records they own. (EW-672)

  • When a user has read-only access to an attribute and they click on the multi-lingual popup, it shows nothing. It should show the translations as read-only if the user has security access for the language. (EW-697, EW-852, Mantis #7408)

  • Users are not able to edit or update an event. (EW-699)

  • Shortcuts of type 'Record Edit' do not work with a Saved Search. (EW-764, Mantis #3371)

  • Users are able to drag and drop records into a saved set they do not own. (EW-770)

  • New repositories cannot be created when the AMQP trigger is configured without a repository name. (EW-777)

  • "Attribute properties are no longer functional on a repository with 10,000 attributes. (EW-779, Mantis #3140)"

  • If using multi-edit, the user is unable to cancel Send to Workflow. (EW-782, Mantis #4002)

  • Users should only be able to see their own jobs in the Job Monitor. (EW-785, Mantis #4155)

  • EnterWorks should allow promote & trigger configurations for Docker. (EW-787, Mantis #5914)

  • Template export should include Excel with format option. (EW-790, Mantis #5979)

  • Filter criteria is not maintained when the user moves off a tab and then comes back. (EW-794, Mantis #6278)

  • The Tomcat server is stopping. (EW-795, Mantis #6422)

  • User can enter more characters than allowed in multi-language attributes. (EW-802, Mantis #)

  • The Set Validation level dialog is displayed empty. (EW-836)

  • When a system configured with LDAP is authenticating, it does not differentiate between an expired password and an invalid password. (EW-838, Mantis #6873)

  • Shortcut to custom URLs is not working. (EW-842)

  • In the linked relationship configuration screen, Max Link Count is not being honored. If it is not being used, it should be removed. (EW-849, Mantis #6664)

  • Record state is not being updated after running promotions. (EW-869)

  • Unable to edit and save an already existent saved search. (EW-871)

  • When a user opens a repository in the grid display, filters the data, then changes to a new page in the display, the results in the grid do not change. (EW-876)

  • If a user does not have write access to the primary key and the record is saved, it clears the value and sets it to {}. (EW-879, Mantis #6825)

  • With a CATEGORY type of Import Template containing more than 1,000 mapped attributes, any snapshot attributes that happen to be in a mapped column position > the 1,000th position are not getting updated in the snapshot table; i.e. only snapshot attributes in the first 1,000 column positions are getting updated. (EW-881, Mantis #6943)

  • Database transactions are being kept open, which prevents the transaction log from being truncated. (EW-882, Mantis #7292)

  • If an impersonator selects a language not assigned to their own group, then when the impersonator stops impersonating, they are logged out. (EW-883)

  • The Impersonation button takes a long time to appear when a large number of users are assigned. (EW-884, Mantis #7366)

  • When the ITEM_ID state field is used as the sort in the REST search API call, the call returns an error indicating the ITEM_ID is an ambiguous column. (EW-885)

  • By default, the admin's user filter is displayed after browser refresh. (EW-886, Mantis #7383)

  • Jboss workers check info should include the worker's URL so the support team can find the right Jboss worker if it has failed. (EW-887, Mantis #7405)

  • Repositories created in EnterWorks 10.2 using the Classic UI work in Classic but won’t open in the 2020 UI. The repository will show in the menu but clicking on the repository will only show the blue spinner and will never return. (EW-888)

  • Unable to retain user details in impersonation configuration window. (EW-889)

  • Product cloning is not functional. (EW-890)

  • Record creation failed when uploading an asset in the detail editor. (EW-899)

  • The System Health Widget shows culturally-insensitive Master/Slave rather than the preferred terms Controller/Workers. (EW-929, Mantis #7084)

  • Hiding a tab containing attributes relying on defaults results in an error when the record is saved. (EW-930, Mantis #6131)

  • If an attribute value is NULL and an Attribute Security Filter is in use, even if the user has edit permissions for the attribute, the attribute will appear as read only. (EW-931, Mantis #6534)

  • After applying a column filter, the user needs to refresh for the column to be filtered. (EW-938)

  • When logging in, if an administrator selects an unassigned language, an error is generated. (EW-943, EW-944)

  • A language cannot be specified for users logged in via SSO. (EW-946, Mantis #6682)

  • Link tables are not loading. (EW-993)

  • If an advanced search is created using the "AND" operator, and then the operator is changed to "OR", results for the "AND" operation are displayed until the screen is refreshed. (EW-996)

Known Issues

  • In EnterWorks on a Linux OS, in the EnterWorks 2020 UI, in a Repository View, the ascending/descending column sorting is not working as expected. (EW-1135)

    • Workaround: When values in the sorted column of many records are identical, or null, the database is free to choose the order amongst them. If you page through multiple pages where this is the case, you may see the same record(s) appear on several pages. The way to alleviate this situation is to sort on multiple columns so that you introduce unique sorting.

  • In the EnterWorks 2020 UI, in a Repository View, when editing a repeatable attribute of value TIMESTAMP, it displays GMT. (EW-1152)

    • Workaround: When editing the cell, the date first appears as full GMT, however, if you click on the date text, the Date Picker comes up and functions correctly. Alternatively, use the Inline Editor to edit the value.

  • In the EnterWorks 2020 UI, in a Repository View grid view, if sorting is applied to a repeatable attribute (which may be in an Associated Group), attribute values cannot be edited. (EW-1164)

    • Workaround: The workaround is to use the Inline Editor for editing this column. Or, edit the column while not sorting. If there are multiple values, then the sort may not be meaningful. Also, instead of sorting by clicking the column header, you may edit the user preference's sort option to include the attribute at the top. Then the data will be sorted in the same manner and the cell-editor will work.

  • In the EnterWorks 2020 UI, in a Repository View grid view, if sorting is applied to a repeatable attribute (which may be in an Associated Group), clicking on an attribute value adds the value to the 'Error' column's first entry. (EW-1165)

    • Workaround: The workaround is to use the Inline Editor for editing this column. Or, edit the column while not sorting. If there are multiple values, then the sort may not be meaningful. Also, instead of sorting by clicking the column header, you may edit the user preference's sort option to include the attribute at the top. Then the data will be sorted in the same manner and the cell-editor will work.
