API Enhancements

There are three new APIs that utilize Exchange Templates to provide multi-repository transformation, for high performance and scalable integration. The key APIs are:

  • api/items/templateImportStream

  • api/items/templateSearch

  • api/items/templateSearch/metadata

Import/Export Template support in the New UI

The administration of Import and Export templates is available in the New UI, making it the main interface for key template administration use cases and reducing the need to switch back and forth between the two UIs.

Azure AD SSO and Azure Blob Storage

With the addition of support for Azure AD Single Sign-on and Azure Blob Storage, EnterWorks can now be deployed in the Azure cloud.

Match and Merge Widget

The Match and Merge widget is now out-of-the-box, making it easier to deploy and manage Match and Merge functionality. This replaces the configuration of a custom widget for Match and Merge.

Unified Parent/Child Item Editor

The Detail Editor can be configured to display linked parent and child record content in a side-by-side unified view, enhancing the ability to edit the records simultaneously.

SmartTemplate Pro

SmartTemplate Pro is a Microsoft Excel Add-in that enables users to leverage the familiar experience of Excel's spreadsheets to export data from the EnterWorks platform, update it, check its quality, then import it back into EnterWorks. The EnterWorks security context ensures that users are still only able to access the data they are permitted.

For example, an organization can use SmartTemplate Pro to provide their vendors controlled spreadsheet-based access for performing manual data entry and data maintenance tasks, such as onboarding and updating product data.

SmartTemplate Pro's key capabilities provide you the means to:

  • Quickly and easily create and update records.

  • Extract existing records from EnterWorks, modify them, then re-upload the records, all from within Excel.

  • Check your data before you upload it to EnterWorks, thereby improving the quality and completeness of your master data.

SmartTemplate Pro's supported platforms are:

  • Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Excel 2016/2019.

  • EnterWorks Windows technical stack, versions 10.3.1 and later.

Other Changes

The EnterWorks 2020 UI has been renamed the New UI.
