EnterWorks 10.4.4 Release Notes

Product release: February 14, 2022

Release Notes updated: June 9, 2022

Log4j Updates

Warning:

EnterWorks versions 10.4.3 and later deploy a secure version of Log4j. However, the first time an EnterWorks system prior to 10.4.3 is upgraded to EnterWorks 10.4.3 or later, you must remove deprecated files and modify service settings.

The patch instructions for EnterWorks 10.4.3 and 10.4.4 for upgrading Log4j files were incomplete. They have now been updated. If you have already upgraded EnterWorks to versions 10.4.3 or 10.4.4, follow the procedure outlined in the EnterWorks Installation Guide, to ensure that all necessary steps for upgrading for Log4j vulnerabilities have been performed.

The instructions for upgrading EnterWorks to version 10.4.5 or later have the correct instructions.

Resolved Issue

  • Resolved: When a user is impersonating another user, initially the Feature bar displays only the repositories the impersonated user has view access for, which is correct. After the impersonator opens, edits, and closes a repository, the Feature bar then displays all the repositories the impersonated user has read or view access for. The impersonator should only see the repositories the impersonated user has view access for. (Support 65779, EW-8234)

Known Limitations

  • Prior to EnterWorks 10.4.3, JSON export files contained the root node. EnterWorks 10.4.3 and later do not include the root node. If you are using JSON export files that depend on the root node being present, do not upgrade to EnterWorks 10.4.3, 10.4.4, 10.4.5, or 10.4.6. Versions of EnterWorks after 10.4.6 will have an option that will allow you to configure EnterWorks to include or exclude the root node in JSON export files. If you have already upgraded to EnterWorks 10.4.3, 10.4.4, 10.4.5, or 10.4.6, and you are using JSON export files that depend on the root node being present, contact Precisely EnterWorks Support for help addressing the issue.
