# Adding Properties

With an existing model open and at least one entity or relationship selected, click the Entities, Relationships, or All button on the Editing ribbon in the Data tab. The Edit Properties dialog box appears.

- Enter the name of the new property in the
**Name**field. - Select the type of the new property in the
**Type**drop-down box. The following data types are supported:Data Type Description Boolean A logical type with two values: true and false. Double A numeric data type that contains both negative and positive double precision numbers between 2

**Value**field. - Click
**Add**. - Click
**OK**.
