Launching the Management Console

The Management Console is web application that installs with the Spectrum™ Technology Platform and is available from the Spectrum™ Technology Platform Welcome Page.

To launch and work with the Management Console:

  1. Open a web browser and go to the Spectrum™ Technology Platform Welcome Page at:


    For example, if you installed Spectrum™ Technology Platform on a computer named myspectrumplatform and it is using the default HTTP port 8080, you would go to:


  2. Click Platform Client Tools.
  3. Expand the Web section and click Open Management Console.

    The browser refreshes to display the Management Console login dialog.

  4. Log in as the administrator (admin), or enter the username and password provided by the administrator who setup your account.

Only users with permission can log into the Management Console. Permission is granted to roles, which users are assigned to. An administrator (admin) assignes roles to users in the Management Console. For a description of Spectrum™ Technology Platform and Spatial Module users, roles, and security, see Managing Security.
