Named Layers
Description
A named layer is a type of named resource that defines the properties of a map layer. It is not a map layer in the sense that you can display it on a map. In your map you would refer to a named layer by its name instead of its properties. Any supported layer type can be defined as a named layer.
Schemas
The schemas for named layer definitions are defined in MXP_NamedResource_1_5.xsd and MXP_MapLayer_1_5.xsd.
