Modifying a Named Layer

Do the following to modify an existing named layer:
  1. Launch the Spectrum Spatial™ Manager and locate the desired named layer.
  2. Open the named layer and click Modify Layer located below the preview box on the right.
  3. Click in the Reference Table. Select a different table in the pop up, if needed.
  4. Modify a Display Style, if needed.
  5. Modify Visibility Constraints, if needed.
  6. Click Save to consolidate the changes else click Cancel to close the Modify Layer page.
Note:
  • Spectrum Spatial™ Manager allows modifying Reference table and visibility constraints (Zoom and Scale) for layers with Thematic style (Range Theme, IndividualValue Theme, Dot Density, Bar Layer, Pie Layer, Graduated Symbol Layer, and Line Chart Layer). Style editing is not allowed for these layers.
  • Spectrum Spatial™ Manager does not allow modification of Label Layer, Group Layer, Line Linkage layer, and Inline Layers.

  • Spectrum Spatial™ Manager allows modifying style information (Named Style and Style override) for Layers having Named Styles or Style override, Reference table and visibility constraints (Zoom and Scale).

Changing Layer Friendly Name

You can modify the name of the layer to a user-friendly name. Do the following:
  1. Launch the Spectrum Spatial™ Manager and locate the desired named layer.
  2. Click Resource Info tab.
  3. Hover the mouse over the Friendly Name. An icon signifying edit capability is displayed. The icon disappears as soon as you take the mouse away.
  4. Click the and enter the friendly name for the layer.
  5. Click to save the new name else click to retain the existing name.
