Creating a Spatial Dataflow Designer

The designer role provides access to Spectrum Technology Platform secured entity types, such as dataflows.

To create data flows, Spectrum Spatial stages, and services, a user must have a designer role and have execute permissions on the named resources in the data flows. The user should also be a spatial-user to see all resources, and the spatial-user role should have permission to see all resources in applications such as Spectrum Spatial Manager.

To assign the designer role to a user:

  1. Open Management Console.
  2. Go to System > Security.
  3. Either select an existing user by clicking the Edit button, or click the Add button to create a new user.
  4. In the Roles section, assign both the designer and spatial-user roles to the user account.
  5. Click Save.
The user now has permission to view named resources and design dataflows using resources for Spectrum Spatial stages and services.
