Address Guidelines for South Korea

Follow these guidelines to provide input that Geocode Address Global can successfully geocode. For additional information on Korean addresses, see the website: http://www.koreapost.go.kr/

• Required fields—Addresses must contain a city. House numbers are not available in the data.
• Thoroughfare types—Thoroughfare types and their common abbreviations are recognized and fully supported on input and output. Postal codes are not used in the matching process.
• Common words and abbreviations—The geocoder recognizes common words, directionals, and abbreviations used in addresses and can geocode these addresses successfully.
