Creating a Profile

You need to create a profile to run the data quality analysis rules. A profile can include data set from any of these sources:
  • Flat files
  • Logical or physical models created using the modeling feature of Spectrum Discovery
  • Connections configured in Spectrum Technology Platform
In Spectrum Discovery, creating a new profile involves these three stages:
  1. Adding data sources: Your data source can be any of these:
    • Flat files from your system or server
    • Logical or physical models created using the modeling feature of Spectrum Discovery
    • Connections configured in Spectrum Technology Platform
  2. Configuring data analysis rules, defining the sample size, and setting up notification
  3. Defining the profile
