Architecture Overview
The following diagram shows an overview of the fundamental architecture of Spectrum Technology Platform Spectrum Spatial, prior to any development, extension, or scaling.

The architecture consists of the following components:
Repository
The foundation of the Spectrum Technology Platform Spectrum Spatial is the repository. It contains named resources such as named styles, named tables, named maps, named layers, and named configurations. Core Services
The core services that Spectrum Spatial provides are Mapping, Feature, and Geometry services. See the Services section in Spectrum Spatial Guide on support.precisely.com for more information.
OGC Services
The OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) services include:
- Web Map Service (WMS)
- Web Feature Serivce (WFS)
- Web Map Tiling Service (WMTS)
Map Tiling
The Map Tiling Service returns map tiles on the fly or from a tile cache at the user's request. See the Services section in the Spectrum Spatial Guide for more information.
Named Resource
You can use the Named Resource Service to manage almost any type of named resource in the repository. See the Services section in the Spectrum Technology Platform Spectrum Spatial Guide on support.precisely.com.
