Creating a New Routing Configuration

To create a new Routing configuration:

  1. Open the the Routing Configuration page.
  2. Click on the Create New button.
    A new Routing Configuration page appears.
  3. Enter the name of the routing configuration in the Name text box.
    Note: Any special characters are not supported in the name. You cannot create a configuration with an existing name.
  4. Select any one Deployment option given below:
    • On premise
    • On premise (Deprecated)
    • Spectrum on demand
    • Precisely developer API's
  5. If you select the On Premise option, you will get following options:
    OptionDescription
    Base URL Enter the service URL in the Base URL text box. For example, http://localhost:8080/rest/GetTravelBoundary
    User name Enter the user name.
    Password Enter the password.
    Historic traffic Select the Historic Traffic check box to fetch the available historic time traffic buckets for the specified Basic URL. You can choose from None, AMPeak, PMPeak, OffPeak, Night in Spectrum Spatial Analyst.
    Verify Click to verify the Base URL.
    Database Select one or more available databases from the list to fetch configured databases for the specified URL.
    Check box to select or deselect database.
    Database Name Displays the names of available databases.
    Note: If a database that you was previously selected is deleted from Management Console, then an error message will be displayed. For example, The database <name> which you previously selected is no longer available.
    Default Click icon to select the default database. By default, the first database in the list is default database.
    Default (initial) Travel Cost Displays the default travel cost.
    Cost for distance isochrone Displays the initial cost for distance isochrone, such as 5,10,15. Separate values with a comma.
    Unit for distance isochrone Displays the default unit for distance isochrone i.e. meters. You can select from meters, kilometers, feet, yards or miles.
    Cost for time isochrone Displays the default cost for time isochrone i.e. 5,10,15. Separate values with a comma.
    Unit for time isochrone Displays the default unit for time isochrone i.e. minutes. You can select from minutes, seconds and hours.
    Properties Displays the properties.
    Add a new property.
    Delete the selected property.
    Property Type Enter the property type for drivetime.
    Property Value Enter the property value for drivetime.
  6. If you select the On Premise (Deprecated) option, you will get following options:

    Base URL Enter the service URL in the Base URL text box. For example, http://<server>:<port>/rest/Spatial/erm/databases
    User name Enter the user name.
    Password Enter the password.
    Historic traffic Select the Historic Traffic check box to fetch the available historic time traffic buckets for the specified Basic URL. You can choose from None, AMPeak, PMPeak, OffPeak, Night in Spectrum Spatial Analyst.
    Verify Click to verify the Base URL.
    Database Select one or more available databases from the list for the specified URL.
    Check box to select or deselect database.
    Database Name Displays the database name.
    Note: If a database that you previously selected is deleted from the Management Console, then an error message displays. For example, "The database <name> that you previously selected is no longer available."

    Property Value Enter the property value for drivetime
  7. If you select the Spectrum on demand option, you will get following options:

    Base URL Enter the service URL in the Base URL text box. For example, http://<server>:<port>/rest/GetTravelBoundary
    User name Enter the user name.
    Password Enter the password.
    Database Enter the database name. You can enter multiple databases separated by a comma. The first one is considered as default.
    Note: Database name is not required for GetTravelBoundaryAllCountries.
    Default (initial) Travel Cost Displays the default travel cost.
    Cost for distance isochrone Displays the initial cost for distance isochrone, such as 5,10,15. Separate values with a comma.
    Unit for distance isochrone Displays the default unit for distance isochrone, such as meters. You can select from meters, kilometers, feet, yards or miles.
    Cost for time isochrone Displays the default cost for time isochrone, such as 5,10,15. Separate values with a comma.
    Unit for time isochrone Displays the default unit for time isochrone, such as minutes. You can select from minutes, seconds and hours.
    Properties Displays the properties.
    Add a new property.
    Delete the selected property.
    Property Type Enter the property type for drivetime
    Property Value Enter the property value for drivetime
  8. If you select the Precisely developer API's option, you will get following options:

    Base URL Enter the service URL in the Base URL text box. For example, https://api.precisely.com/zones/v1/travelboundary/
    API Key Enter the API Key.
    Secret Enter the password.
    Historic traffic Select the Historic Traffic check box to fetch the available historic time traffic buckets for the specified Basic URL. This setting allows Spectrum Spatial Analyst users to choose from None, AMPeak, PMPeak, OffPeak, Night in Spectrum Spatial Analyst.
    Verify Click to verify the Base URL.
    Database Enter the database name. You can enter multiple databases separated by a comma. The first one is considered as default.

  9. Click Save to save the new Routing configuration. It is listed on the left-hand side of the screen under the Routing configuration.
  10. Click Cancel to move back to previous page without creating Routing configuration.
