Open In...

MapInfo Stratus allows you to open query results in supported external applications. It is called Application Link-Out. The MapInfo Stratus is configured to pass a description of the current selection set in XML format to the external application. For example, a selection description can be passed to Confirm application. When Confirm is opened, the user can choose how to view the selection description.

The supported external application can synchronize its own selection set based on the selection description to provide a seamless work-flow between applications.

To open query results in external application, follow the steps given below:

1. Click on the Open in button to see query results in supported application.
   The external application opens with the query results. You can export up to 1000 results to the maximum at a time.

   Note: Make sure the external application is up and running in your system and app-linking setup. Also, the link-out works only when GLF is available in your machine.
