Creating a Graduated Symbol Thematic Map

Open the Thematics Map tab.

Click on Create New Thematics from drop-down list.

From the Table drop-down list select a table on which you would want to apply thematic.

From the Column drop-down list, select a column on which you would like to create thematic.

Note: A Graduated Thematic can be created on numeric column only.

From the Visualization type drop-down list, select the Graduated Symbol thematic map.

Select Map Geometries to style.

Option	Description
Shape	Select the symbol of your choice from the drop-down list.
Positive	You can display symbols for positive data values. Click the color box to change the color.
Show Negative Value	Select to display negative data values on map.
Negative	You can also display symbols for negative data values. Click the color box to change the color. Note: This option appears only if you have negative values in your data.
Diameter	Enter the diameter corresponding to the maximum value of selected column.
For Value	Displays the maximum value present in the selected column.
Relative size by	You can choose size by constant, square root or log.

Click on the Preview Legend button to preview legend range.

Enter a new name in the Thematic Map Name text box for the Thematic map or you may also retain the default name. The default name is a combination of a table name, column name and visualization name.

Note: A thematic map name can be of maximum 50 characters. Special characters are not allowed in thematic map names.

Click on the Create button to preview the Graduated Symbol thematic map. Each thematic map is added as a top level map item. The thematic map is also listed in the Map Legend.

Once a thematic map is created, you can further edit or delete it from Map Legend. For more information, refer to Editing a Thematic Map and Deleting a Thematic Map.

You can also print graduated thematic map. For more information, refer to Printing Maps.

Note: The Thematic Map is not retained once you refresh your current page or change Map Configuration.
