Adding 3rd Party Tile Maps

To add 3rd party tile maps to a map configuration:

  1. Open the Map Configs tab.
  2. In the Map Configuration drop-down list, select the map configuration to which you want to add a map.
  3. In the Map Configs tab, open the Maps subtab.
  4. In the Maps sub-tab, click the Add 3rd Party Tile Maps button.
    The Add 3rd Party Tile Maps dialog box opens.
  5. Under Domain Details section, enter the name of map in the Map Name text box.
  6. In the URL Template, enter the full URL to a tile using {Level}{Col}and{Row} in place of the tile's level, column and row.
  7. In the Subdomains text box, enter the subdomain name. It should be separated by comma(,).
  8. Under the Domain Category, select from the following options:
    • Spherical Mercator XYZ
    • Via Europe TMS (for the UK)
    • Custom Projection and Bound
    Note: You cannot edit option in case of Spherical Mercator and Via Europe TMS.

    When Spherical Mercator XYZ is selected, it displays following options:

    Option Description
    Projection Displays the projection.
    Starting Level Displays the starting level.
    Tile Pixel Size Displays the pixel size.
    Bounds Displays the bounds.
    Tile Scheme Displays the tile scheme.
    Map URL for 1st Tile Displays the map URL of 1st tile. Click on the Test button to preview the map and map URL.

    When Via Europe TMS (for the UK) is selected, it displays following options:

    Option Description
    Projection Displays the projection.
    Starting Level Displays the starting level.
    Tile Pixel Size Displays the pixel size.
    Bounds Displays the bounds.
    Tile Scheme Displays the tile scheme.
    Map URL for 1st Tile Displays the map URL of 1st tile. Click on the Test button to preview the map and map URL.
    Image Mime type Select the image mime type from drop-down list. It supports .png, .jpg, .jpeg and .gif images.

    When Custom Projection and Bound is selected, it displays following options:

    Option Description
    Projection Enter the projection.
    Starting Level Enter the starting level.
    Tile Pixel Size Enter the pixel size.
    Bounds Enter the bounds.
    Tile Scheme Select the tile scheme from drop-down list.
    Map URL for 1st Tile Displays the map URL of 1st tile. Click on the Test button to preview the map and map URL.
    Image Mime type Select the image mime type from drop-down list. It supports .png, .jpg, .jpeg and .gif images.
    Note: This option will be available only if the tile scheme is TMS.
  9. Click OK to add 3rd party tile map to a Map Configuration else click Cancel to go back to previous page.

The selected 3rd party tile map is now added to the map configuration.
