Using Attributes and Rules in Rule Sets

A rule set contains rules grouped together for use in the Library. These are either new rules added to the rule set, rules copied from a data source, or rules moved from a data source to the rule set. Library rules reside in attributes contained in a rule set. You cannot create a rule set without adding library attributes. Typically, when you add rules to a rule set, all library attributes for the rule set are connected (or mapped) to attributes in a data source, so associations can remain between the Library and data sources at both the attribute and data source level.

When working with rule sets, you will typically:

■  Add rule set attributes

■  Add rules to the rule set using these attributes

You can also modify or delete rule set attributes and rules in the rule sets as needed.
