Optional Job Properties This section provides information for defining optional job properties. Using the Daily Delete FileThe Daily Delete file contains addresses that are pending deletion or adjustment from NCOALink. When an address from the input file is found in the Daily Delete file, the output file will not be updated with the forwarding address currently in NCOALink and the output record's NCOA Forwarding Footnote field will contain a value of 66 (if the NCOA Forwarding Footnote field is defined in the output definition).Processing a Range of RecordsInstead of processing all the records in an input file, you can choose to process only a specified range of records. To process only records from a specified range, follow these steps.Copying Input to OutputTo include a copy of the entire input record in the output file(s), follow these steps.Overlaying Standardized Address with Forwarding AddressTo prevent forwarding address information from overwriting standardized input information in the output fields, follow these steps.Processing Records Within a Move Effective RangeTo process only records that had a move effective date in a given range, follow these steps.Using Delivery Point ValidationTo use Delivery Point Validation (DPV) to verify that an address is a deliverable address, follow these steps.Using LACS/LinkThe USPS Locatable Address Conversion System (LACS) allows you to correct addresses that have changed as a result of a rural route address converting to a street-style address, a PO Box renumbering, or a street-style address changing. Note that LACSLink is a CASS feature, not part of NCOALink. Address data in LACSLink does not contain names of individuals, families, or firms because it does not involve moves, only changes to an existing address. If you use external CASS, your CASS product will provide LACSLink processing.Using Suite/LinkSuiteLink provides secondary address information, such as a suite or floor number for a business name for which a high rise default has already been determined.Extended ProcessingExtended processing refers to a situation where a service provider takes longer than seven days to process a mailing list from a customer. According to USPS regulations, service providers must process a mailing list within seven days of receiving it from a customer. If this is not possible, the service provider must obtain written permission from the customer to take longer than seven days to process the list. To indicate that this written permission has been granted and the list was processed more than seven days after receiving it from the customer, you must enable the extended processing option by following these steps.
