If you execute your jobs on Windows or z/OS you can use the
Windows UI to generate the required monthly reports. To generate the monthly reports, follow
this procedure.
Note: If you execute your jobs on Unix or Linux, use the
command-line report generator. Windows users have the option of using either the UI or
the command-line report generator. z/OS users can also use the report generator JCL. For
more information, see
Generating Reports from the Command Line, JCL, or Script. If you execute your jobs in IBM i, use the IBM i screens to generate the
monthly reports. For more information, see the VeriMove User’s Guide for IBM
i.
-
If you run your jobs on z/OS, FTP the JOBSTAT file as a
binary file to the Windows machine and place it in the stats subfolder. For example,
C:\PB\VeriMove\stats. Name the file JobStats.dat.
-
Launch VeriMove. Make sure that there are no job windows open.
-
Click Tools > Reports > NCOA/Link.
-
In the From field, type the first day of the log or report. This field defaults to printing all of the prior month until the 15th of the current month. On the 15th of the current month, this field defaults to printing the current month.
-
In the To field, type the last day of the log or report. This field defaults to printing all of the prior month until the 15th of the current month. On the 15th of the current month, this field defaults to printing the current month.
For example, on May 20, 2018, you decide to generate customer service
information for April 15, 2018 through May 15, 2018. You would enter "04/15/2018"
in the From field and "05/15/2018" in the To field.
-
In the Report Output File Path field, enter the directory where you want to place the generated reports.
-
In the Report Selection area, choose the report or
reports that you want to generate. For information about each report, see Customer Service Log, Processing Acknowledgement Form (PAF) Report, and Broker/Agent/List Administrator Report.
-
Select the View reports after generation option to view the reports immediately after generation (optional).
-
Click Generate.
-
After generating the monthly reports, VeriMove saves the reports to files. Submit these files to the USPS electronically by following the procedure defined by the USPS.
