Using VMA.exe
The VeriMove Access java routines have been replaced with VMA.exe, a new standalone executable, that uses the new Web services API written in C#. You can use Windows scripting to execute VMA.exe in a batch setup. For more information and an example, see Using FTNCmd.bat to Execute vma.exe.
VMA.exe can:
- Run multiple jobs simultaneously when run in separate command line windows (each of the multiple jobs must use a different List ID)
- Renames and saves previous output for consistency across the various methods of running remote jobs.
- Overwrite the previous output files (Output 1 and 2, PSR, and 3553) in the jobdef folder without creating a backup of the output files from the previous run.
- Retain the default output file names sent by the server.
- Allows some jobs to resume processing at the point of interruption after a processing disruption such as a lost connection (most common cause of process interruption).
- Clear jobs on the server from the command line.
- Also be run from the VeriMove UI by selecting “Remote (VeriMove Access)” for Run Type on the General tab.
