Introduction to Winshuttle Journal Entry
Winshuttle Journal Entry is a data entry and upload tool that presents an easy-to-use front end for SAP FICO transactions. Journal Entry is available in two licensing modes:
- Winshuttle Connect to manage licensing of Winshuttle products.
- Winshuttle Central to manage licensing, and use of scripts, queries, and user access to SAP.
New for Journal Entry 8.0
Release notes and updates:
- The formula that checks the balance during validation or simulation now includes tax amounts that are entered in the header.
Note: The formula does not account for tax amounts in line items.
- Journal Entry now supports Transaction scripts that include tax fields on the Tax tab or tax fields on the Basic tab.
Note: Tax fields on the Tax tab cannot be included in a loop.
- Multiple loops at the same level are supported in Journal Entry 8.0. This means that long text is now supported.
Settings for individual loops are respected.
Note: Nested loops are not supported.
- All default templates have been republished so that arithmetic operations no longer result in an overflow.
- Journal Entry now launches in the correct language (English, Spanish, French, or German), based on the language of the installed version of Excel.
- Journal Entry now creates a document number for each document in a column-based script.
- Clicking Clear Data now clears only the data present in mapped columns. Formulas, formatting, and headers will not be cleared.
- The bug in the List of Values (LOV) feature has been fixed.
- Bug fix for the configuration file: New Journal Entry users now have the correct configuration file for working with Connect.
