Manage Runtime Engine

The runtime engine page shows information related to engine. You can add, edit, or remove runtime engine.

Add Runtime Engine

You can add a runtime engine.
  1. Click from the top of the navigation menu.
  2. Enter required information:
    OptionsDescription
Runtime engine Name of the engine. For replication, runtime engine name cannot have a space or special characters except hyphen (-) or period (.).
    Hostname or IP address

Hostname or IP address of the runtime engine.

Value must be an IPv4 address, IPv6 address, or a hostname.

    Port number
This port number should match whatever listener port you selected when installing the Connect CDC engine. Value must be from 1024 to 65535.
    Note: The default is 51701.
    Use SSL/TLS between runtime engines

Option to use SSL/TLS encryption between the agent and runtime engine.

    Alternate replication IP address

Alternate IP address to use for replication. Used for second attempt if connection fails to the first hostname or IP address.

    Data port number
Used for communication from listener to replication kernel for each project, and between kernels. If this is not specified, a port is chosen dynamically when the kernel starts.
Note: Displays when Server type is data replication.

Value must be from 1024 to 65535.

Additional information about this runtime engine.

  3. Click Test to verify the connection.
  4. Click Save.

Edit Runtime Engine

You can edit an existing runtime engine.
  1. Click the next to a runtime engine to open the menu.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Update options associated with the runtime engine.
  4. Click Test to verify the connection.
  5. Click Save.

Remove Runtime Engine

You can remove an existing runtime engine.
  1. Click the next to a runtime engine to open the menu.
A list of runtime engines are displayed.
  2. Locate the engine you want to remove.
Note: If the engine is used in a replication data connection, remove the associated data connection before you remove the engine.
  3. Click Remove.
The Remove Engine dialog box displays.
If one or more runtime engine is associated with a data connection, the message displays a green check ( ) to indicate that the engine was successfully removed and an X () indicating that the engine cannot be removed because it is currently in use.
  4. Click Close.

View Runtime Engine Details

You can view the details about an existing runtime engine such as statuses, sources retrieved, sources sent and target applied.
  1. Click the next to a runtime engine to open menu.
The Runtime Engine Details page opens.
  2. Click Alerts to view the alerts for the runtime engine in Data Integration.
