Convert the representation of the data in this object to a "map of maps"

Returns:

A hierarchical "map of maps" representing the contents of this object and all its descendants, recursively. Leaf nodes are represented as map items which are <String, String> key/value pairs. Branch nodes representing complex contained objects are maps of <String, Map<String, Object>>. Object members that are lists of contained objects (ArrayLists) are represented by map of <String, ArrayList>.
