Creating an Oracle Connection

You must have Oracle Client software installed, which does not come with MapInfo EasyLoader. Before you create a connection in MapInfo EasyLoader to an Oracle database server, you will need to know the server name, and the user ID and password to use.

To connect to an Oracle database in MapInfo EasyLoader:
  1. From the Database Connection list, select New Connection and then click the Manage Connection List and Choose Connection button.
  2. In the Database Connection dialog, select the Oracle radial button.
  3. Fill in the Server Name, User ID, and Password fields.
  4. Click OK to create the connection and close the dialog.
Note: Click the Manage Connection List and Choose Connection button for an existing connection to edit its connection information.
