y	Row of tile.	Required
format	Format of tile. Valid format: 'png'	Required

Note: 'x' and 'y' parameters can be derived from latitude and longitude. If Earth is seen in a flat 2 dimensional grid, then 'x' ,'y' combination represents a particular cell in that grid. For the mathematical formula to derive 'x' and 'y', refer http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Slippy_map_tilenames#Mathematics.
