Using the Selection Pane

The Selection Pane enables you to designate qualifying properties in your data and select model elements that contain those properties. For example, if you are looking at data involving the United States of America, you might want to see which states have a population greater than 10,000,000.

Use the Search tab to select elements in your model based on a simple Where statement. Use the Advanced tab to select elements in your model that are connected in some manner to currently selected elements.
