Input

Table 1. Legacy Point In Polygon Input
Field Name Format [Max] Description and Valid Values

Latitude

String [11]

The latitude portion of the location's coordinates. Specify the longitude in the format chosen in the Coordinate Format option.

Note: Specify longitudes and latitudes in millionths of degrees with positive numbers representing the Eastern and Northern hemispheres and negative numbers representing the Western and Southern hemispheres. For example, in Decimal Assumed format, the point 140° W by 30° N is represented as -140000000, 30000000.

Longitude

String [11]

The longitude portion of the location's coordinates. Specify the latitude in the format chosen in the Coordinate Format option.

BufferWidth

Long [10]

Specifies the width of the polygon/line/point buffer. The buffer width is used to determine if a location is close to the edge of a polygon/line/point. The output field BufferRelation indicates whether or not the location is within the buffer area.

This field overrides the value specified in Buffer Width Default. If you do not specify a buffer with, the default is used.

Specify the buffer width in the units specified by the Distance Units option.

Note: This feature requires that database you are matching against be either a point-only file or support buffers. You can tell whether or not a database supports this feature by looking at the Supports Buffering field in the Point in Polygon stage.
