Uninstalling the Server

This procedure removes the Spectrum Technology Platform server and all installed modules from a machine. In a clustered environment, you must perform this procedure on every node in the cluster.

Before uninstalling any product, back up any files you may need in the future. Uninstalling Spectrum Technology Platform will remove all data flows, data, and settings.

Note: In this procedure, SpectrumDirectory is the directory where the Spectrum Technology Platform server is installed (for example, /home/user/myuser/Precisely/Spectrum).
  1. On the Introduction page of the uninstall wizard, you can select whether to Remove all files and folders.
Clear this check box to retain data files from the installation.
  2. Source the SpectrumDirectory/server/bin/setup script.
  3. Run the SpectrumDirectory/server/bin/server.stop script to stop the Spectrum Technology Platform server.
  4. Uninstall Spectrum Technology Platform by running the following uninstall script:
    SpectrumDirectory/Uninstall/Uninstall_LES/Uninstall_LES
The script that must be run is ./Uninstall_LES.
Note: Some directories may not be removed from the install location if files were in use during the uninstall process. We recommend that you manually delete any directories and files that are left after the uninstall.
