Upgrade from 2020.1 S54 patch or later

If the 2020.1 S54 patch or later has been installed on your Spectrum server, perform this procedure to install Upgrade_s54to20221_Linux.zip before you perform the Spectrum 2022.1.0 upgrade.

For a clustered configuration, perform this procedure before you upgrade each node in the cluster. For a clustered distributed configuration, perform this procedure before you upgrade each database configuration.

Note: In this procedure, SpectrumDirectory is the directory where the Spectrum Technology Platform server is installed (for example, /home/user/myuser/Precisely/Spectrum).
  1. Back up, then delete these files
    • SpectrumDirectory/repository/plugins/

      apoc-3.5.0.18-all.jar

    • SpectrumDirectory/repository/lib/

      jackson-annotations-2.13.2.jar
      jackson-core-2.13.2.jar
      jackson-databind-2.13.2.2.jar
      jackson-jaxrs-base-2.13.2.jar
      jackson-jaxrs-json-provider-2.13.2.jar
      jackson-module-jaxb-annotations-2.13.2.jar

  2. Use the link provided here to download the ZIP file containing the product update.

  3. Extract the contents of the ZIP file to a temporary location.
  4. FTP the Upgrade_s54to20221.tar.gz file in binary mode to a temporary directory on the Spectrum Technology Platform machine.
  5. Change to the directory where the Spectrum Technology Platform server is installed (SpectrumDirectory).
  6. Untar the file using this command:
    tar -xvf TemporaryDirectory/Upgrade_s54to20221.tar.gz
  7. Do not start the Spectrum Technology Platform server.
After you finish this procedure, complete the Spectrum Server Upgrade.
