Introduction to Winshuttle Journal Entry

Winshuttle Journal Entry is a data entry and upload tool that presents an easy-to-use front end for SAP FICO transactions. Journal Entry is available in two licensing modes:

Winshuttle Connect to manage licensing of Winshuttle products.
Winshuttle Central to manage licensing, and use of scripts, queries, and user access to SAP.

New for version 7.0 with Central and Connect

All default templates now support column-based mapping, so you can upload multiple records from one Excel worksheet. You can also use column mapping in customized templates.
Note: Column mapping is not supported for BAPIs.
When using column-based mapping, you can enter the number of blank lines that will cause the run to stop. For example, if you want to put five blank lines between each entry, in the Customize wizard, type 5 in the Number of blank lines to stop the run box. The run will stop when Journal Entry reaches five consecutive blank rows in the sheet.
Journal Entry now supports using a Fiscal Year value that is different from the year in the Posting Date. The fiscal year entered here will be used in the document number links that will be generated. Click Options, click Fiscal Year, and then type the Fiscal Year.
All default templates now include Total Credit and Total Debit fields.

New for version 7.0, Central only

If a newer version of the data template you are using has been uploaded to Central, Journal Entry 7.0 will not post the data in your file and will notify you to download the updated template.
You can now turn off workflows for Journal Entry: Click Options, and then click Data File Management to turn it off. After you turn off Data File Management, data files will not be submitted for approval.

Bug fix

Long text fields now map correctly in scripts imported from Transaction.

Known issues

You might experience difficulties logging on to Connect because of a configuration file change. This issue has been fixed in Journal Entry 8.0.
