What types of data files can I use?
Transaction
Depending on your Winshuttle environment, data source files can be Excel worksheets, Access tables, or XML forms.
If you use an Excel binary file (.xlsb), you can use the Excel Add-in to enter data and run the script. Excel binary files cannot be opened in Studio v11.
Any background images in .xls files are not supported. Background images are supported in .xlsx files.
Query
Depending on your Winshuttle environment, you can use Excel worksheets, Access tables, text (.txt) files, Microsoft SharePoint lists, or SQL Server tables for your data results files.
Note: The account that you use to write to SQL Server must have db_owner or db_ddladmin membership on the database that contains the target table.
