Studio Manager 20.2 Release Notes
What's New - Features and Enhancements
- Administrators can now determine the sequence of content within emails. For example, administrators can opt to include links to open a task (or to approve via email) prior to the process history.
- The AD Sync feature (Microsoft Active Directory Sync) allows customers with a high number of users to manage licenses and roles automatically using AD groups. Licenses and permissions are assigned automatically, and any changes to an AD Group are reflected in the user profile. AD Sync cannot be used to automate license reassignments (named-user licenses are allowed to be reassigned twice per quarter per maintenance year; please refer to Winshuttle License Restrictions for more information).
- Administrators can now determine the sequence of content within emails. For example, administrators can opt to include links to open a task (or to approve via email) prior to the process history.
- You can now update the order of the information you include in the body of an Email Template. In addition, you can now select the font type and font size.
- Process Cancellation emails are now sent to both the Originator and the Reviewer.
- Existing links have been renamed on the Admin app → Settings → Links page; in addition, a link for "News" has been added. On the News link, you can subscribe to receive Studio Manager-related announcements.
- Solution Developers can now view and download Form XML when working with version history of documents. This supports forms debugging.
Known Issues and Limitations
- The AD Sync feature is not supported with SAML authentication.
- When importing a group into any app, import it from the User App → Configuration page only. Do not attempt to import groups from the Admin App → Apps → Configuration page; it will not work, and you will not be able to create a group with that name in any of the apps.
- It does not work to import an email template from the following path: Admin → Apps → Configuration → Email Templates page (with this method, an email template is created on the global app rather than on the non-administrator app as intended). Workarounds: 1) Import Email Templates from the following path: Switch to the non-admin app, and then navigate to Configuration → Email Templates page. 2) Migrate Email Templates through the 20.0 migration utility for Evolve.
- On a Firefox browser, the Action filter on the Tasks page does not render properly.
- An input value with two or more spaces between characters is displayed as a single space in the UI.
- The Edit Assignment feature is not available for OOB tasks.
- Existing links are renamed on the Admin app → Settings → Links page.
- When importing a Connection into the Evolve or Studio Manager server, you cannot rename the connection.
