Create a dataset

This procedure describes how to upload and create a dataset from a text file.

This procedure describes how create a new dataset for a delimited text file (.txt or .csv).

On the Precisely Quality page, expand the secondary navigation panel, and click Datasets .
Click + Upload dataset and browse to select the text file containing data to upload.
Click Open.

The uploaded database is added to the dataset table displayed on this page.

Precisely DQ configures dataset settings based on characteristics of data in the selected file. You can edit an uploaded dataset to review and if necessary adjust these settings.
