Create a pipeline from a dataset

Create a Data Quality pipeline to import and transform data from a dataset.

This procedure allows you to create a pipeline from a selected dataset on the Datasets page. To select a dataset while you create a pipeline, see Create a pipeline on the Pipelines page.

On the Precisely Quality page, expand the secondary navigation panel, and click Datasets .
Click the shortcut menu , then click Create Pipeline.
In the General step, you can edit the Name for the pipeline, and optionally, in the Description box you can describe the purpose of the pipeline. Then click Next.
In the Dataset step, confirm the dataset selection. Then click Next.
In the Source step, review column names, data types, and semantic types, then click Next.
Data type selections are based on the default data type format for a pipeline. To edit the data type format for a dataset, see Edit data type formats for a dataset.
The Data Preview step shows sample records for the pipeline.
Click Save to add the new pipeline for the dataset.
Completing this step opens the Transforms page for the new pipeline. On this page you can view sample data in the data inspection table and add transformation steps to the pipeline.
