Backup and Restore

To back up your Spectrum Technology Platform server, you need to create backup copies of both the configuration and index databases. The configuration database contains security settings, dataflows, service options, data resource definitions, snapshots, and configuration settings. The index database contains execution history, reporting, audit log information, and similar data. By default, Spectrum Technology Platform does not create backups of these databases. You can manually back up these databases when you are upgrading or changing servers. You can also schedule periodic backups that can be used to restore the server in case of a system failure.
