TRANSACTION supports recording of only one SAP transaction for each script file. If you want to use multiple transactions in a business process, you can record multiple scripts and link them together. The Link Script setting automatically launches and executes TRANSACTION scripts in sequence. You can even generate data from one script to be used in another script. For example, one script might extract the data to another column in a data sheet, and a second script might process the extracted data.
To link scripts
Carry Settings: In addition to specifying the TRANSACTION script name, you can also mark which execution settings are to be carried forward to the next TRANSACTION script using any of these check boxes:
NOTE: For best results, specify the complete path to each TRANSACTION script in the chain.
You can send linked scripts for approval, but only one type of review process applies to all scripts. Linked scripts can run only from a single data sheet. Linked scripts respect only the values and carry settings of the original TRANSACTION script. You can run a linked script from the add-in for Excel.
Linked scripts, both Excel and Access, can be validated. Validation on linked scripts is possible for the following configurations:
Multiple and linked files that have a production status and that are saved to CENTRAL can be updated. See Revising multiple scripts.
