Profiling Trends
Profiling trends provide a graphical visualization of changes in the data over a period of time. Trends can help you to predict future stat values based on the existing trend pattern. It provides businesses with crucial information that helps make data-driven decisions concerning future events.
The decisions can be related to marketing and sales, performance, expenditure, product development, customer experience, and more.
You can view the trend for a specific statistic of a column-level stat as well as a table-level stat.
You can view profiling trends for the below statistics.
- Total records in a table
- Table completeness
- Column completeness and uniqueness.
- Numerical analysis statistics
- Data and time analysis statistics
- String analysis (Minimum and maximum length) statistics
- Validity and Confidence statistics for semantic type data
To view profiling trends:
- On the Data Profiles page, click the profile name for which you want to
view
trends.
Profiling results are displayed. For details, refer to Profiling Results.
- Click the Trend icon
for a statistic to view its trend based on the profiling run history.
The trend is shown in a side panel.
Table 1. Description of Trend Analysis Label Description Column Name/Table Name Specifies the name of the table or the column. Stats Name Specifies the statistic name. Graph Shows the statistic trend in a graphical form. Table Shows the history of profile run and its completeness. Period drop-down Allows you to view the trend for a week, a month, a year, or all profile runs.
