Entering Generate application information
When entering a Generate Application Entry, remember that the Generate Server may be a different server. The value will run as a command line process in the Generate server.
From the Designer/Generate Applications... page:
- Enter the Name and Description.
-
Enter one of the following in the EngageOne
Generate
Command field:
-
Generate executable. For example, doc1gen.exe. Enter the relative path to the executable on the Generate Server. Alternatively, the PATH environment variable can be updated to include the full path.
-
HIP file location. Enter the relative path to the file on the Generate Server.
-
OPS file. Enter the full UNC path to the OPS file. EngageOne Deliver will update the inputs and outputs specified in the OPS file to reflect temporary directories it creates. For example:
doc1gen C:\DOC1\Sample.hip OPS=\\doc1server\DOC1\Sample.OPS
-
- Enter a value in the Post Process Command field to run a command after Generate completes.
- Select the Outbound Profile that will process the output from the Generate application
-
Enter a value for Output Alias and Generate Output
that corresponds to an Output
Alias defined in the Designer
Publication or HIP file. In the EngageOne Deliver generated (or modified)
OPS file, this will correspond to an Output Alias name in one output line. The
rules are:
-
For DIJ, place in the "<DIJ>" sub-section in the OPS; default is "jrn".
-
For “Journal, place in the "<Journal>" sub-section; default is "jrn".
-
For eHTML, place in the "<Output>" sub-section; default is "%2.HTML".
-
For "HTML, place in the "<Output>" sub-section; default is "xml" (multiple output files).
-
For "PDF, place in the "<Output>" sub-section; default is "PDF".
-
For TEXT, place in the "<Output>" sub-section; default is "txt".
-
- In the EngageOne Deliver generated OPS file, Message Type is mapped to a corresponding EngageOne Deliver folder. This will specify where Generate places generated files.
- Select a vendor from the Filter by - Vendor list (super users only).
