Spectrum Platform Neo4j Password Encryption

Spectrum Platform stores data in a repository managed by an embedded Neo4j Graph Database Server. Password encryption helps protect against possible attackers or eavesdroppers. The encrypted password to the Neo4j repository is stored in the spectrum-container.properties file. The default password that Spectrum Platform Server uses to access the Neo4j repository is encrypted using a default key that is stored internally by the server. To enhance security, an administrator can use the Spectrum Technology Platform Password Management Utility to change the password and specify a new key for the Spectrum Platform Neo4j repository or the Spectrum Spatial Apache Jackrabbit repository. For instructions about how to use this utility to change the Neo4j repository password, see Change the Neo4j repository password with optional new encryption key. For instructions to change the Spectrum Spatial Apache Jackrabbit repository, refer to the Spectrum Spatial Administration Guide.
