Manage Solutions
Solutions are placed within libraries. Before creating a solution, ensure a library for that solution type exists.
All apps come with a library for the solution types in the table below.

As a Global Admin or App Admin, you can create any number of libraries. Once you have created the library, you are ready to create a solution. On the Manage Solutions page, you can do the following:
- View a solution
- Delete a solution
- Manage solution permissions
- Check where a solution is used
- Unlock a solution
View a solution
- Open the Evolve site.
- Go to the Apps page and select the app for which you want to view solutions.
- From the Actions menu, select the configuration and go to Manage Solutions page.
- Select the library which includes the solutions you want to view.
- For each library available to you, the following details are noted:
- Name
- Description
- Created by
- Created Date
- Modified by
- Modified Date
To filter and sort on libraries, use the option at the top right of the libraries table.
Delete a solution
- Open the Evolve site.
- Go to the Apps page and select the app for which you want to view solutions.
- From the Actions menu, select the configuration and go to Manage Solutions page.
- Select the library, and then select the solution you want to delete.
- Click the Delete button and confirm the deletion.
Deleting a solution moves it to the recycle bin. Global Administrators can restore solutions at any time. When you delete a solution, the solution SQL view (created for Reporting) and all reports which draw upon that SQL view are retained - they are not deleted.
Manage solution permissions
Solutions inherit all permissions of the library they belong to. You can choose to edit the inherited permissions for specific solutions.

Edit/change solution permissions
To edit/change solution permissions:
- Click the Apps menu. Go to the app for which you would like to edit/change solution permissions and click the icon in the Actions column.
- Click Configurations and click on Manage Solutions.
- Select the Library from the libraries window and then select the solution for which you want to edit/change permissions.
- Click the Manage Permissions button. The Manage Solution Permissions page will appear.
- Click the library permission category (Library Solutions or Processes) you wish to edit/change and click Stop Inheriting Permissions.
- When prompted to confirm, click Yes.
- You can opt to delete permission groups by clicking the ‘X’ next to that group. You can also opt to add another group by selecting it from the drop-down list.
- Click Save. You will be notified that the unique permissions for that solution have been updated successfully.
Check where a solution is used
- Open the Evolve site.
- Go to the Apps page and select the app for which you want to check the solution usage.
- From the Actions menu, select the configuration and go to the Manage Solutions page.
- Select the library, and then select the solution for which you want to check usage.
- Click Usage to view all instances where the solution is used.
Only deployed solutions are counted when identifying the number of times a solution has been used.
Unlock a solution
While Solution Developers are editing Forms solutions, the solution is locked by the Solution Developer. Global and App Admins can unlock the solution by following these steps:
- Open the Evolve site.
- Go to the Apps page and select the app which includes the solution you want to unlock.
- From the Actions menu, select the configuration and go to the Manage Solutions page.
- Select the library, and then select the solution you want to unlock.
- Click Unlock Solution.
