Working with Foundation
Concurrent logons
You can log on to two computers at the same time. If you log on to a third computer, Foundation notifies you that only two logons are allowed, and the third session is disconnected.
Synchronize logs to Foundation
If you previously used a stand-alone version of Transaction or Query and now work with Foundation, you can send existing logs to your Foundation site so that user data for reporting is available in Foundation.
- On the Log Viewer page, click Sync to Foundation.
- Existing logs are sent to the Foundation site. If for some reason, some of the logs are not synchronized, you are notified and can re-synchronize the logs.
- When all the logs are successfully synchronized, the Sync to Foundation button will no longer be available.
Sign in with a different user name
At any time, whether you are starting a session or are in the middle of a session, you can sign in as a different user. With the change user feature, you can use the same credential to sign in to different domains.
- Click the File tab.
- Click Account, and then click Switch Account.
- Type the user name and password, and then click OK.
Sign in to a different site
In Studio v12.1 with Foundation 11
- Click the File tab, and then click Account.
- Click Select Different Site.
- Choose the site that you want, and then click OK.
Note: The list of sites is configured on the Foundation site.
Sign out
- Click the File tab.
- Click Account, and then click Sign Out.
View the user profile
You can view your user profile at any time to see what roles and server policies apply to you.
- In Studio: Click Foundation User Profile.
- In Excel: Click User Profile.
