Catalog a data connection

Perform this task to catalog data connections. Cataloged data connections allow user to discover and understand the connected data.

On the Precisely Quality page, expand the secondary navigation panel, and click Connections .
On the Connections page, find the data connection that you want to catalog.

Tip: To filter connections by connection name or type, enter any portion of a connection name or type in the Search box . This displays only those connections that match the search string in the Connection or Type column.
In the Connection column, click the shortcut menu , then click Catalog.
This expands the Catalog Connection panel, which lists databases in the connected data resource.
In the Databases table, select the check box next to Databases that you want to catalog.
Click the Start Cataloging button.
This changes status for selected databases to "Cataloging". You can click the Update button to update the status.
