Reviewing and approving asset changes
You can opt to cancel the review process by clicking on the Cancel Review button. The asset will then be available to other reviewers as defined in the associated review process.
If you have chosen to carry out the review task you will be presented with one or more PDFs as follows:
An asset modification using a comparison profile | When a comparison profile has been specified in the review process definition, you will see a single PDF that summarizes the differences between output generated from the modified asset and that generated from the original asset. Depending on how the comparison profile is configured, certain differences will be highlighted and others will be ignored. Refer to Adding review processes to a project. |
Review changes to an existing asset | If a comparison profile has not been specified in the process definition, two PDF documents presented side by side. A reference PDF showing output generated from the original asset and a candidate PDF, showing output generated from the modified asset. Refer to Adding review processes to a project. |
A new asset | When a new asset is being reviewed, you will be presented with a single candidate PDF document showing output generated from the new asset. This will occur regardless of the comparison profile specification in the process definition. |
Review changes to an existing active content | If a comparison profile has not been specified in the process definition, two PDF documents presented side by side. A reference PDF showing output generated from the original active content and a candidate PDF, showing output generated from the modified active content. Refer to Adding review processes to a project on page 84. If you wish to review the changes made to the active content in context of a template, then you will need to add the template to the project and submit the template for review. See Adding assets to your project. |
A new active content | When a new active content is being reviewed, you will be presented with a single candidate PDF document showing output generated from the new active content. This will occur regardless of the comparison profile specification in the process definition. If you wish to review the changes made to the active content in context of a template, then you will need to add the template to the project and submit the template for review. See Adding assets to your project. |
Note: During the review of an existing asset it is possible you may not be presented
with a reference PDF of the original asset; this is because EngageOne Designer did
not produce the reference PDF.
