Working with templates to create a communication
From your Home page you can either select a template to work with from a list of favorite templates, or browse for a particular template using the Browse all templates... link. The Templates page presents a list of templates you can choose from to create your communication. Use the standard search options if the required template is not visible, refer to Finding, organizing and selecting.
Sometimes there are different versions of the same template that are valid for specified date ranges. These are set by the EngageOne administrator. If you select a template with this type of versioning you will be asked to provide an effective date, which is the date from which that template is valid. You can either enter the date manually, or use the calendar control. The acceptable date formats will depend on the locale of your browser.
To select and work with a template:
- Click the required template from the template list or select a favorite template.
- Optionally sample the template by clicking the thumbnail image, refer to Viewing template samples .
- You may be required to enter Customer key/details. Note that this will depend on the how the template is designed. Refer to Editing and confirming data for further information.
- Click Next to open the template in the interactive editor. Refer to Working with the editor, and Creating editable paragraphs for further information.
