Finalist reason code 4. This reason code provides information on how Finalist processed the ZIP + 4 portion of the address. This system variable is only populated if <CASSTYPE> is set to LPC or NATIVE.

• For Finalist on mainframe systems, the value is one of the following:
  • 0—The input ZIP + 4 is correct as is.
  • 1—The input address was missing the ZIP + 4 but Finalist was able to supply a valid ZIP + 4 that was not the default ZIP + 4.
  • 2—Finalist could not supply a valid ZIP + 4 because there was more than one possible match.
  • 3—The ZIP + 4 data in the input address was invalid, but Finalist was able to supply a valid carrier route.
  • 6—The input address was missing the ZIP + 4 but Finalist was able to supply a valid ZIP + 4 using the default ZIP + 4.
  • 7—Finalist could not validate the ZIP + 4 because the address is a non-deliverable address.
  • 8—Range failure due to overlapping ranges found on the USPS® database.
  • 9—Finalist could not determine a valid ZIP + 4 and no further information is available.
• For Finalist on UNIX, Linux, or Windows, the value is one of the following:
  • 0—The address was successfully coded.
  • 9—The address could not be coded.
