Finalist reason code 8. This reason code is supposed to provide information on how Finalist processed the street alias description, but currently does not provide any meaningful information. This system variable is only populated if <CASSTYPE> is set to LPC or NATIVE.

  • For Finalist on mainframe systems, this system variable does not provide any meaningful information. The value is always 0.
  • For Finalist on UNIX, Linux, or Windows, the value is one of the following:
    • 0—The address was successfully coded.
    • 1—The address was successfully coded using a preferred street name alias.
    • 2—The address was successfully coded using a non-preferred street name alias. For example, the address might be 123 ROUTE 34 but the alias might be 123 W MAIN ST.
    • 5—The address was successfully coded using an alternate at delivery address. For example 233 S WACKER BSC 42-27 is the real address but an alternate delivery address would be 42-27 SEARS TOWER.
    • 9—The address could not be coded.
